LHS Pilot Program.

Doggy Sense is currently leading a Pilot Program at the Lakeshore Humane Society, in Manitowoc Wisconsin. This Program's focus is to build a day-to-day care system for the canines receiving temporary shelter in the facility. A solid foundation must begin with Shelter Staff and dedicated Volunteers confidently understanding the needs of each animal, as well as how to maintain pack balance. The individuals we are working with have been extremely receptive and eager to share their training with others. Some dog require rehabilitation - others can greatly benefit from specialized training-ALL NEED CONSISTENCY. Our philosophy at Doggy Sense is to work simultaneously with canines and handlers - creating successful bonds. Our intention with this specific Program is to increase the rate of successful adoptions by having knowledgeable individuals teaching families who are interested in adopting these animals, what we carry out in facility...so they can provide continuity in their home.
